Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRC) has released the Civil Recruitment 2026 notification for 02 Chief General Manager / General Manager (Civil) posts. The recruitment is being conducted for experienced professionals who have worked on major civil infrastructure projects including metro, railway, bridges, flyovers, road underbridges and multi-storeyed buildings. Candidates must possess a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institute. For Chief General Manager level, candidates from reputed private organizations require 23 years of post-qualification experience, while candidates from Government, Railways, PSU or Metro Rail organizations generally require 20 years of relevant experience. For General Manager level, the requirement is 20 years in reputed private organizations or 17 years in Government, Railways, PSU or Metro Rail organizations, including the prescribed executive-level experience. The selected candidates may be appointed on contract, deputation or post-superannuation basis, depending on their eligibility. The revised IDA pay scale is ₹1,20,000–₹2,80,000, while post-superannuation candidates may receive consolidated remuneration as prescribed by GMRC. Selected candidates may be posted at Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat or any other GMRC project location in Gujarat. The selection process includes shortlisting, document verification and personal interview, followed by the prescribed medical examination.
