Job Description
UPSC has released the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2027 notification for recruitment to various Group A and Group B engineering services and posts. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is the fourth engineering discipline covered under the examination. Candidates with a Degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or another qualification specifically accepted under the ESE 2027 rules can apply. For certain services, specified M.Sc. qualifications involving Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also accepted as detailed in the notification. The overall vacancy position for ESE 2027 is approximately 480 posts, including 19 vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, while the exact discipline-wise vacancy breakup is subject to alteration. The selection process consists of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test/Interview. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for 31 January 2027 and the Main Examination will be held on 18 June 2027. The online application window is open from 16 September 2026 to 06 October 2026.
