Job Description
The Union Public Service Commission has released the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2027 notification for recruitment to various Group A and Group B engineering services and posts under the Government of India. Civil Engineering is one of the four engineering disciplines covered under the examination. Candidates possessing a Degree in Civil Engineering or an accepted equivalent qualification can apply for the Civil Engineering category. The overall ESE 2027 recruitment is expected to fill approximately 480 vacancies, including vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities; the exact discipline-wise distribution is subject to the vacancy position notified by the Government. The selection process consists of the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test/Interview. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for 31 January 2027 and the Main Examination is scheduled for 18 June 2027. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 16 September 2026 to 06 October 2026 through the UPSC online application portal.
