Southern Railway Scouts & Guides Quota Level 2 Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online — Southern Railway / Integral Coach Factory (ICF)

Job Description: Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Chennai has invited online applications for recruitment against the Scouts & Guides Quota for the year 2026–27 under Employment Notice No. RRC-01/S&G/2026-27. A total of 3 Level 2 vacancies are available — 2 under Southern Railway and 1 under Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.  Candidates must satisfy both the prescribed educational qualification and Scouts & Guides requirements. For Level 2, the general educational qualification is 12th pass with at least 50% marks, subject to the exemptions specified in the notification. For applicable technician categories, Matriculation with Act Apprenticeship or NCVT-approved ITI is accepted. The Scouts & Guides requirement is mandatory. Candidates must be a President's Scout, Guide, Rover or Ranger, or hold the Himalayan Wood Badge, must have been an active member for the preceding 5 years, possess the prescribed Certificate of Activeness and have participated in the required National/All Indian Railway and State-level events.  Selection carries a total of 100 marks. The Written/Hybrid Examination carries 60 marks, while Scouts & Guides certificates and activities carry 40 marks. The examination includes objective questions and an essay-type question, with one-third negative marking for each incorrect objective answer.  Candidates recommended for appointment must satisfy the prescribed railway medical standards. The selected candidates will be appointed against Level 2 vacancies under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The online application process started on 19 September 2026 at 9:00 AM and will remain open until 18 October 2026 at 11:59 PM. Candidates applying for both Level 1 and Level 2 must submit separate applications and pay the applicable fee separately
