Southern Railway Scouts & Guides Quota Level 1 Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online — Southern Railway / Integral Coach Factory (ICF)

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Chennai has announced 14 Level 1 vacancies under the Scouts & Guides Quota for 2026–27. Of these, 12 vacancies are under Southern Railway and 2 are under Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. The Southern Railway Level 1 vacancies are distributed across Chennai, Tiruchchirappalli, Madurai, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram and Salem divisions.  Candidates must have passed Class 10 or possess ITI/equivalent qualification or an NCVT National Apprenticeship Certificate, along with the mandatory Scouts & Guides qualifications prescribed in the recruitment notification. Applicants must be a President's Scout, Guide, Rover or Ranger or a Himalayan Wood Badge holder. They must also have been active members of a Scouts organization for the preceding 5 years, possess the prescribed Certificate of Activeness and have attended the required National/All Indian Railway and State-level events.  The selection process carries 100 marks in total, comprising 60 marks for the Written/Hybrid Examination and 40 marks for Scouts & Guides certificates and activities. The objective section carries one-third negative marking for incorrect answers.  The Level 1 vacancies are offered under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. Candidates recommended for appointment must also satisfy the prescribed railway medical standards before appointment. Online applications opened on 19 September 2026 at 9:00 AM. The last date for submission is 18 October 2026 at 11:59 PM. The application fee is ₹500 for candidates other than specified concessional categories, while eligible SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minority and economically backward-class candidates pay ₹250. Applicable refunds are made to eligible candidates who appear in the examination, after deduction of bank charges.
