Job Description
Southern Railway Railway Recruitment Cell, Chennai has invited online applications for recruitment against the Scouts and Guides Quota for Level 1 posts for the year 2026-27. A total of 14 Level 1 vacancies are available, including 12 posts in Southern Railway and 02 posts in Integral Coach Factory. The 12 Southern Railway vacancies are distributed across Chennai, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram and Salem divisions. Candidates must possess the prescribed Level 1 educational qualification and satisfy all mandatory Scouts and Guides conditions. They must hold the prescribed President’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger award or Himalayan Wood Badge, have five years of active membership, possess the Certificate of Activeness and have participated in the required National/All Indian Railway and State level events. The selection process consists of a written/hybrid examination along with evaluation of Scouts and Guides certificates and activities. Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed medical standards and other eligibility requirements. Eligible candidates can apply online through the RRC Chennai application portal from 19 September 2026. The last date for submission of the online application is 18 October 2026 at 11:59 PM.
