Job Description
The Supreme Court of India has announced 20 tentative vacancies for Court Master (Shorthand) through Advertisement No. F.6/11/CM(S)/2026-SC (RC). Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, possess English shorthand skills at 120 words per minute, have computer typing skills at 40 words per minute and meet the prescribed 5-year regular service experience requirement.
Selected candidates will be placed at Level 11 of the Pay Matrix, with a salary range of ₹67,700–₹2,08,700 plus admissible allowances. The selection process includes an Objective Type Test, English Shorthand Test, Computer Typing Speed Test and Interview. The objective test is tentatively scheduled for 7 December 2026. Applications must be submitted online through the official Supreme Court of India recruitment website between 25 October and 15 November 2026. The application fee is ₹1,500 for General/Unreserved candidates and ₹750 for eligible SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ex-servicemen candidates, plus bank charges.
