Job Description

CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, invites eligible candidates for 8 purely temporary Research Associate (RA) position(s) under Advertisement No. 11/Project/2026 for the Mission for Cotton Productivity (Kapas Kanti), GAP-3554 project. Qualification: Doctoral Degree in Life Sciences / Botany / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Bioinformatics. OR M.Sc. in Botany / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Life Sciences / Bioinformatics with qualifying NET, at least 3 years of relevant R&D experience and one research paper in an SCI or NAAS-rated (≥4.0) journal. Age limit: Maximum 40 years. Remuneration: ₹67,000/month + HRA for Ph.D. holders OR ₹61,000/month + HRA for Master's degree holders. Walk-in interview date: 16-11-2026, 11:00 AM, at K. N. Kaul Block, CSIR-NBRI, Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow. Candidates must report one hour before the interview for document verification. Selection is through interview; a screening test may be conducted if a large number of candidates attend. The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
