AAI SSCO Consultant Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online — Airports Authority of India (AAI)

Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invited applications for engagement of retired Short Service Commission Officers (SSCOs) as Consultants on a contractual basis under Advertisement No. 14/2026/CHQ/SSCOs. The engagement is intended to support Air Traffic Services (ATS) operations at Joint User Defence Airfields. A total of 39 Consultant vacancies are available across six locations: Pune Airport, Kanpur Airport, Purnea Airport, Goa (Dabolim) Airport, Port Blair Airport and Darbhanga Airport. The largest requirement is at Goa (Dabolim) Airport with 15 positions, followed by Pune Airport with 11 positions. Candidates must be retired Short Service Commission Officers of the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force or Indian Coast Guard. Applicants should hold a graduate degree in any discipline and possess the prescribed Basic ATC/ATM and GCA/ATSS qualifications. They must also have at least 5 years of cumulative ATC experience, including a minimum of 1 year of ATC duties at a Joint User Defence Airfield. The maximum permissible age is 50 years as on 01 October 2026. In addition, the period between retirement from the Armed Forces and the last date of application must not exceed six years. The initial engagement is for one year, which may be extended by one year at a time, subject to the conditions specified by AAI. The total engagement cannot exceed five years or continue beyond the prescribed maximum age of 55 years. Selection will be based on shortlisting, application/document verification and interview. There is no written examination. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview through their registered email address.
