UPESSC Principal Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 111 Posts — Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC)

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the Principal Recruitment 2026 notification (Advertisement No. 02/2026) for recruitment to 111 Principal posts in aided degree colleges across Uttar Pradesh. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 21 July 2026 to 20 August 2026 through the official UPESSC website. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree, have at least 15 years of teaching, research, or administrative experience as Professor/Associate Professor or an equivalent position, possess 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and secure a minimum 110 Research Score (API) as prescribed in the notification. The maximum age limit is 62 years as on 01 July 2026. The selection process consists of a written examination (360 marks) followed by an interview (40 marks). The written examination will include 120 objective-type questions, with 3 marks awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates shortlisted based on the written examination will be called for the interview. The selected candidates will be appointed as Principal (Level-14 Pay Matrix) with a pay scale of ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 and will be posted in aided degree colleges across Uttar Pradesh.
